Visit our state parks! 

While visiting Island County, you can explore our amazing Washington State parks to enjoy the stunning views, scenic hiking, and learn some history about the island.   Here are three of our favorites:

Deception Pass State Park

Come for the bridge, enjoy the hikes, and grab a sunset.

Fort Ebey

The view from hiking the Bluff Trail are spectacular, as well as the scenery at Ebey’s Landing

Fort Casey

Oceanfront park with an historic lighthouse and gun battery.

You will need a Discover Pass to visit Washington State parks. They are available in the form of a daily pass ($10) or an annual pass ($30). You can purchase a Washington state Discover Pass at state parks (when staff is available), or you can purchase one online.

Visit Coupeville 

Explore the historic waterfront of Coupeville Front Street and the surrounding streets. Enjoy local Penn Cove Mussels served at most of the waterfront restaurants in town. There are many small shops with local arts and provisions.

Price Sculpture Forest

Explore this hidden gem, the Price Sculpture Forest, located just south of Coupeville.  You can walk the 1/2 mile loop trail through the dense forest and discover wonderful and surprising art along the way.  Don't let the picture scare you away!
